Step 1

Before painting, carefully prepare the surface by sanding it with 280 grit sandpaper. Be careful not to get to the wood. Remove any impurities, dirt residues or dust with a brush.

Step 2

The surface is now ready to be treated with the FNC transparent water-based topcoat for wood of the color you prefer (for this tutorial we used FNC01 -MATT CEDAR). Stir the product very well before applying it on your surface, working in long and linear movements.

Step 3

If necessary, apply a second coat of FNC transparent water-base topcoat for wood after 2-4 hours.

More information
ICA water-based coatings for exteriors protect wood against bad weather and UV rays. They are easy to apply on many types of surface: frames and shutters, fences, balconies, beams, attics and other wooden items located outdoors. The FNC transparent water-based topcoat for wood is odourless and has a low environmental impact. It's easy to apply by spray or brush, directly onto untreated wood or pre-impregnated wood. Its color increases protection against sunlight and provides greater aesthetic appeal to the coated surface.
