Instructions

Step 1

Method 1 (surface preparation - sanding)

Before painting, carefully prepare the surface by sanding it with 150-180 grit sandpaper to remove all old paint and grayed wood. Be sure to remove any impurities with a dusting brush. The wood must be clean and dry.

Method 2 (surface preparation - Cleandeck)

CLEANDECK is ICA for you anti-graying detergent and it is perfect for aged wood. Apply it with a brush on your surfaces, working in linear movements. Wait 15 minutes and rinse the wood, removing all impurities with a dusting brush and sanding sponge. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.

Step 2

Take your jar of IMG No-drop water-based impregnating agent for wood of your chosen color (for this tutorial we used IMG08 - Walnut). Stir it thoroughly before use. Apply it on the surface with a synthetic bristle brush, working in long and linear movements.

Step 3

Wait 2 hours (or no more than 4 hours) to allow it to dry on your wooden surface. You can now apply the first coat of FND30 Water-based top coat for decking and garden furniture.
Tip: to get an adequate protection apply the topcoat liberally without spreading it too much.

Step 4

To complete your work, apply a second coat of FND Water-based top coat for decking and garden furniture after 2-4 hours.
